Craft Worker Training.

Through an industry partnership, KCA and KDOT offer a craft worker training program. These courses, developed by industry specialists, are offered throughout the state primarily during the winter months, to meet the specific needs of contractors. In addition to public courses, custom in-house training services are available on any topic.

Training Reimbursement.

As a KDOT contractor or subcontractor, your company may receive reimbursement for certain expenses incurred for qualified in-house or third-party safety training in Kansas.

AGC Training Resources.

Through KCA’s affiliation, member contractors have access to AGC of America’s online training collaboration with ClickSafety.com. This includes a comprehensive library of courses, many available in both English and Spanish, covering a variety of construction safety and general industry topics. AGC also offers training resources you can add to your own library of training materials.

Mental Health Resources.

The construction industry has the second highest rate of suicide in the the workforce. Mental health issues - like isolation, stress, anxiety and depression - often lead to workplace injuries, chronic pain, substance abuse and suicide risk. Talking about and training workers on how to identify the risks are an important part of fostering mental wellness in the construction industry.
