Technical excellence got you promoted. Leadership excellence will define your career. This three-part intensive development program is designed specifically for the unique challenges facing construction leaders who must balance technical expertise with people leadership.
Nominate yourself or someone in your company to be part of our first Emerging Leaders class. This fast-paced program is designed for Kansas heavy construction professionals who are interested in moving into a larger leadership role with their employer. It will involve three sessions, held in November, December and January with graduation occurring at the KCA convention following the January session.
PROGRAM INCLUDES:
Three in-person trainings
Workbook and engaging activities
Networking with other ambitious leaders and industry decision-makers
Recommended additional resources and homework to assist skill development
All participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate professional skills in a capstone graduation ceremony during the final session
The program will be led by Jake Thompson along with guest speakers from the industry
CLASS REQUIREMENTS:
Attendance is required at all sessions in order to graduate
The class is limited to 30 participants
No more than 2 people will be selected from the same company
$1,500 program fee per participant, which includes meals, trainings and all class materials
Contractor and supplier members of either KCA, KAPA or KAPA-KRMCA as well as KDOT employees are eligible for nomination to the program
