Technical excellence got you promoted. Leadership excellence will define your career. This three-part intensive development program is designed specifically for the unique challenges facing construction leaders who must balance technical expertise with people leadership.

This fast-paced program is designed for Kansas heavy construction professionals who are interested in moving into a larger leadership role with their employer. It involves three sessions, held in November, December and January with graduation occurring at the KCA convention following the January session.

PROGRAM INCLUDES:

  • Three in-person trainings

  • Workbook and engaging activities

  • Networking with other ambitious leaders and industry decision-makers

  • Recommended additional resources and homework to assist skill development

  • All participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate professional skills in a capstone graduation ceremony during the final session

  • The program will be led by Jake Thompson along with guest speakers from the industry

CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attendance is required at all sessions in order to graduate

  • The class is limited to 30 participants

  • No more than 2 people will be selected from the same company

  • $1,500 program fee per participant, which includes meals, trainings and all class materials

  • Contractor and supplier members of either KCA, KAPA or KAPA-KRMCA as well as KDOT employees are eligible for nomination to the program
