Work Zone Safe

Work Zone Safe is offered free online to any Kansas driver through a partnership with KCA, Kansas Department of Transportation, Kansas Turnpike Authority and the Kansas Highway Patrol.

What is the Work Zone Safe program?

Work Zone Safe prepares teen drivers to navigate work zones and share the road with first responders safely. After completing the course, teens will know what causes most work zone crashes and the basic driving habits that can prevent injuries and fatalities. They will also become familiar with common work zone scenarios and recognize traffic control devices designed to ensure their safety. The course also introduces teens to powerful real-life stories of the faces behind the flags, cones, and flashing lights.
