Together with the Kansas Department of Transportation, we have prioritized the spirit of partnering in building Kansas’ transportation system for decades. KCA members value their role as a collaborative partner, working effectively with KDOT, consulting engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other members of the project team to ensure safe work zones, quality construction and the best return on investment for Kansans and our communities.

Our partnering efforts are focused on building leadership, communication and solution-seeking skills among new and experienced jobsite leaders. Led by the KCA-KDOT Partnering Committee, these efforts include an annual training conference and recognization of successful project partnering through our annual Excellence in Partnering Awards. The KCA-KDOT Partnering Program has greatly contributed to the successful completion of the last two highway programs and is playing a crucial role in the delivery of the current IKE Program.
